Our Story

A farm rooted in land and intention

Tucked into the boreal forest at the edge of Whitehorse, Little Farm in the Woodlot is a small Yukon farm built around the belief that what we eat is who we are.

We grow and preserve as many vegetables as our soil can hold, and every year we build upon our soil and our homesteading dreams continue to grow. Our animals are raised in large enclosures with healthy diets, enrichment and thoughtful, hands-on care.

Whatever we're growing, tending, or harvesting, we believe that putting good energy in leads to good energy coming back.

Small Farm Life

Sustenance and little joys of life

The gardens feed the animals, the animals feed the gardens. Both feed us. The flowers bring the pollinators, and beauty to every corner of the farm.

Farm to Table

From lovingly tended to the table

We don't look away from what it means to raise animals for food. We hold it close. Every animal that feeds this family was handled daily, fed from the garden, and processed with the utmost love and respect. The garden is tended with the same care — seeds chosen deliberately, soil built patiently, harvests celebrated. This is what closing the loop actually looks like.
